When Calamity was born she had no markings on her. One solid color.. So we called her "plain jane". She obviously is not a "plain jane" but that is where her name came from. She is a beautiful chestnut filly. She takes after her dad and grandfather. Her beautiful mother is a palomino with the darkest eyes. She is also the one I would put anyone on to ride being child or adult who is unsure. Calamity is a definite sweetheart!! Plenty of personality also..

When "Annie" was born she wouldn't nurse. So Dr. Phil had to come out a couple times a day to tube her as I would milk Raxa and save her milk. We would sit under Raxa and try and hold Annie under there and squirt milk into her mouth, WHEN we could get her to open her mouth. She waited a couple days and then decided to nurse!! Her full brother, Cisco, who now resides in Phoenix, did the same thing. Only with him we had more panic and took them to the hospital! Several dollars later he also decided to nurse. that is why we gave Annie a couple days. She looks so much like her mother that at times in the pasture, I think I am looking at Raxa! Of course, she is my choice of a filly from a Coral daughter..
